The British Astrological and Psychic Society
The Society was founded in 1976 by
Russell Grant, now President Emeritus, and it exists to provide
a means of bringing together those actively working in, or
interested in, the many different aspects of esoteric, spiritual
and "New Age" teachings, such as Psychic Perception, Astrology,
Palmistry, Tarot, Numerology and Healing.
The aspect of sharing knowledge
across many different disciplines is the quality which has made
the Society a strong force for the dissemination of esoteric
teachings.
In this context the Society's
Consultants and B.A.P.S. 'stands' have become a regular and well
known feature at many of the festivals around this country and
abroad.
This has also resulted in a core of
Professionals at the heart of the Society, who enjoy an
excellent reputation for the breadth and quality of their work.
Many
of the Society's Consultants also undertake lecture engagements
at the various education institutes, organizations and B.A.P.S.
Branches, as well as running training workshops in their
particular discipline (s). Enquiries from organizations who are
interested in any of the Society's activities are always
welcomed and should be directed, in the first instance, to the
National Executive Secretary. Every effort will be made to
assist organizations seeking speakers in their area. The
Society's aim is to set up Schools running courses in
specialized subjects such as Astrology, Palmistry, Mediumship
etc. for those who wish to go deeper into subjects without
necessarily wishing to practice professionally, but also
allowing this possibility to be covered if required. The Society
is a member of the Advisory Panel for Astrological Education.
Membership
of B.A.P.S. is open to all those interested in learning about
the many disciplines embraced by the Society, and to those who
work professionally in these fields. Only those who have been a
member of the Society for at least six months can apply to
become a Consultant Member; all applicants are examined with
regard to their competency and professionalism before
Consultancy status can be granted. The Society's Consultant
Members are required to conform and be a signature to a Code of
Ethics and Conduct*. By the act of taking out membership, a
member agrees to conform to the Terms and Conditions of the
Society as stated within the Society's Constitution which also
includes a formal complaints procedure
The Society's
aim in presenting this information, is to advise prospective
clients of the Society's Consultants and the public at large of
what they may expect of a competent professional in these
fields, as well as informing applicants for consultancy status
what is required of them.

Sacred Sites
Places of Peace and Power
An interesting surf amongst this one, has on it different
places all over the earth to make you think about what goes on around and about
us.
Sacred
sites are the most loved and visited places on planet earth. Since
prehistoric times they have exerted a mysterious attraction on
billions of pilgrims from every region and religion. These holy
places have the power to heal the body, enlighten the mind, and
awaken the soul. Anthropologist Martin Gray spent 20 years as a
wandering pilgrim to study and artistically photograph 1000 sacred
sites in 80 countries. This web site features Martin’s sacred art
photographs and shows the location of sacred places and pilgrimage
shrines around the world.

National Ghost Hunters Society

The National Ghost Hunters Society believes
that this life is not our only life.©
May the Dead show you what the living cannot see.
We cleanse homes, cleanse battlefields and grounds, release
spirits, converse with the dead, find out what they want to know or need ot have
done, assist them in crossing over and numerous other things that other groups
are still learning to do. We are in contact with the higher planes and those who
cross on a daily basis. Scott and I am willing and able to assist and will do so
in any way we can; however we both work and have no funding so our works must
revolve around our schedule and appropriate planetary alignments.

World Instrument TransCommunication

I found this site to very interesting, well worth
a look at the experimenting done in the past and perhaps try yourself.
Claus Schreiber
began to receive spirit images on his TV set in 1985, including the faces of
scientist Albert Einstein, Austrian actress Romy Schneider, and various departed
family members, especially his two deceased wives and daughter Karin, with whom
he was particularly close. His technique, set up by his colleague Martin Wenzel,
involved aiming a video camera at the television and feeding the output of the
camera back into the TV, in order to achieve a feedback loop. The result was a
churning mist on the screen out of which the spirit faces would slowly form over
a period of many frames. Schreiber’s spectacular results were the subject of a
TV documentary and book by popular radio-television commentator Rainer Holbe in
nearby Luxembourg, in 1985.
(Information from
ITC -
History and future)
Claus Schreiber got the advice from his contact partner in beyond via EVP to
make experiments with video.

Morris Pratt
Institute
Known during its years as the "spooks' temple," the Pratt
Institute soon earned the respect of local citizens and eventually gained
national fame after it was constructed by Morris Pratt in 1889. For those
interested in Spiritualism all over America, Whitewater became known as the
"Mecca of Modern Spiritualism."
There is little written concerning the life of Morris Pratt.
However, it is well known that after his visit to the Lake Mills Spiritualist
Center in 1851, he became very interested in psychic phenomena and the Religion
of Spiritualism. Being well educated, he frequently argued with ministers who
criticized Spiritualism and on several occasions was evicted from their
churches. At one time, he was fined for his controversial actions. Being
dedicated to the promotion of Spiritualism, he fully recognized the need for
educated workers to present the religion to the intellect of the times.
It is said that "one day his Red Indian guide told him of certain mineral
deposits unknown to any white man." He made an investment in a company which
later became the profitable Ashland Mine of Ironwood, Michigan. Pratt always
said, "If I am made rich, I will give part of it to Spiritualism."
Within a few month's time, he made over $200,000. He did not hesitate in
fulfilling his promise by using part of the monies for the benefit of the cause
of Spiritualism. In 1889, the Temple was dedicated. When opened, it consisted of
lecture rooms, office, a chapel and dormitories. The land and original building
at Whitewater, Wisconsin, was deeded to the Morris Pratt Institute.

Tom Butler's Metaphysical Concepts
http://ethericreality.aaevp.com/
The Purpose of
the Web Site
When Tom and Lisa Butler assumed
leadership of the
American
Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (AA-EVP) in May, 2000, Tom had
written the Handbook of Metaphysics and several novels. Because of Tom's
predisposition to discuss metaphysical concepts in great detail, the Butlers
made the decision that the AA-EVP would not become a forum for Tom's
philosophical musings. As a compromise, Tom has opened this web site so that he
can openly discuss his concepts without making them official Policy for
the AA-EVP.
Please understand that the
statements, essays and articles contained in the Etheric Reality pages are
opinions which are always open for discussion. No cosmology or philosophical
view can stand as fact without a solid foundation of rigorously evaluated
evidence.

Welcome to the EVP Research
Association United Kingdom. Formed in 2007, the association is a
professional organisation that is committed to the study of
Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP). We conduct regular, controlled
experiments into this fascinating phenomenon. Our founder
members have almost 40 years combined experience in the field of
EVP Research and have together amassed a collection of literally
thousands of inexplicable voices by various recording
techniques.
Members Required To Help Run The
Association
We are looking for people from
the UK with experience in EVP research to help run the
association. Our hope is to form a small commitee of researchers
to run the association and to eventually introduce a membership
program.
If you are interested, please
email us at admin@evpuk.com
We have now implemented an
EVP research discussion forum
to share ideas and results with other EVP researchers and for
those new to the field of research. You can join the forum by

EVP
ZONE USA
Welcome

EVP - Electronic Voice
Phenomena/Phenomenon are spirit voices that are said to
manifest themselves on audio recordings (from
Wikipedia,
the free encyclopedia).
We are
Larry and
Brenda Sides, husband
and wife EVP researchers from Southwestern Indiana. The movie,
White Noise,
intrigued us when we saw it. And we thought, "Why not do a
little investigating of our own?" So, we began in earnest in
the spring of 2006 to record EVP's. We'll have to admit that we
both were skeptics at first, but there is nothing like
experiencing it for yourself to make you into a believer!
The majority of our EVP's have
been recorded in our bedroom. We've been in our house about two
years now. The first thing that happened, not long after we
moved in, was entering our kitchen to find our breadmaker moved
away from the wall by about a foot and with the lid up (this
occured overnight). While Brenda was doing dishes, a plastic
cup on the sink moved about four inches towards the dishwater.
And one night, Brenda awoke and the bedroom was pitch black.
Her first thought was that the bulb had burned out in the
nightlight, and she quickly got out of bed to turn the ceiling
light on. And as she was about to reach for the light switch,
the nightlight came back on.
Where we previously lived, the
lights would go off in the bathroom. And our television would
sometimes come on and go off by itself. This would happen to
our stereo, too. After retiring one night, Brenda was still
awake when she felt like someone had punched the side of the
mattress near her head. We weren't into EVP's at the other
house, or we may have picked some up.
We haven't seen any ghosts or
supernatural beings in our present house that appears to be
haunted...yet.
Thank you for visiting our
website. Unlike similar sites on the Internet, we will never
ask you to pay to view any part of our website. If you wish to
help us with the bandwidth, maintenance costs, etc...we do
accept donations of any amount. Contact us by
email.
Larry and I would like to
share with you some of our best EVP collection of spirit
voice recordings from the Other Side. Listen to our

Mystical Blaze

Welcome to Mystical Blaze!
The purpose of this site is to
examine and explain the facts and fiction of paranormal
phenomena and provide resources for experimentation and
individual research.
In our scientifically-oriented
society, many tend to dismiss the strange and often spiritual
phenomena that occur virtually every day somewhere on the
planet. Admittedly, the unknown can be quite frightening, but
dismissing it outright definitely does not make it disappear.
The fact remains that we are spiritual beings, and nobody can
dispute the assertion that there are ways to come by knowledge
and experience without the rigors of scientific research.
Meditation is a classic example, to name just one.
Unexplainable things also happen every day to normal,
intelligent people - they see things, hear things, feel
presences, observe phenomena, move objects without touching
them, and even sometimes become aware of what the future holds.
None of these things can be explained scientifically, but there
is a huge amount of anecdotal evidence that suggests that there
is indeed some basis of truth to many of the stories, even some
that are quite bizarre at first glance.
Having said that, these pages
will cover some very intriguing subjects, from monsters to
ghosts, to the power of the mind, so get comfortable, as you are
in for a fascinating journey into the strange, unusual, and
bizarre. This is an ongoing project, so please excuse our
"Under Construction" pages and be sure to Bookmark, as we add
new material almost daily.
Lastly, and especially with
topics here related to the mind and controlling your
environment, consider the implications and your own motives
before attempting to take on such responsibilities. Most of
us are in the middle and do not extend auras 25 feet or control
the actions of others.

Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery
and Tibetan Centre.
The
first Tibetan Buddhist Centre in the West.

A place to visit if you are in the area, or just
passing. It has grown very much since I last visited on my way to
Scotland. I always try to stop off when travelling north. Fantastic
atmosphere all around the area of the monastery. They have
accommodation if you would like to stay a while, it a very tranquil
place that has a magic of its own. When there you, will find it you
become a natural blend into the whole ambiance of the place, call in
and experience peace, try to get away from the rat race for a while.
Located in a peaceful valley on the banks of the river Esk in
Scotland, Kagyu Samye Ling was the first Tibetan Buddhist Centre
to have been established in the West. It is a centre for wisdom
and learning within the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan
Buddhism and is open to people of all faiths and none. You are
welcome to come for day visits, short stays or to participate in
our meditation retreats and courses available throughout the
year.
Founded in 1967 and currently under the guidance of Abbot Lama
Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, Samye Ling is part of Rokpa Trust, a
registered charity which has three main areas of activity:
spiritual, humanitarian aid, and Tibetan medicine and therapy.
Our activity extends around the world through an international
network of Dharma centres.
Please visit our courses and retreats pages to get a full
picture of the activities available at Samye Ling, where we are
open all year round for visits and other activities. We have
plentiful accommodation for overnight and longer stays, and a
wide ranging programme of activities and instruction. We will
make you welcome.
Samye Ling
is a monastery and international centre of Buddhist training,
known for the authenticity of its teachings and tradition. It
offers instruction in Buddhist philosophy and meditation within
the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. It is also a centre
for the preservation of Tibetan religion, culture, medicine,
art, architecture and handicrafts.
Founded in 1967 by two spiritual masters, Dr. Akong Tulku
Rinpoche and Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Samye Ling was the first
Tibetan Buddhist Centre to be established in the West and was
named after Samye, the very first monastery to be established in
Tibet.
Samye Ling is home to a residential community of over 60 people,
made up of both monastic and lay volunteers. It is not a
requirement to be a Buddhist to live here, but residents are
expected to live according to the Five Golden Rules. For
information about living and working at Samye Ling as a

Samye
Ling Garden Project
The Samye Ling Garden has gone from strength to strength over
the years, and now includes a medicinal herb garden, over an
acre of vegetable beds, cold frames and two green houses,
complete with flourishing grape vine and fruit trees. Not
forgetting our cosy shed built with recycled railway sleepers.
At 700 feet above sea level and with reputedly the highest
rainfall in the country, the thriving garden effectively
demonstrates what can be achieved under such challenging
conditions.
All this is relies on help of volunteers and visitors are
welcome to participate with all the usual seasonal activities,
whether it is mowing the lawns, stacking compost or simply a
spot of weeding. If you are interested in learning more about
horticulture in depth, follow the links below for information on
courses. You can

The Tara Healing
garden
The Tara Healing Garden is dedicated to the 21 emanations of
Tara and will preserve and propagate medicinal herbs native to
Tibet that can be cultivated in the climate of the Scottish
Borders. Each of the 21 emanations of Tara has the power and the
qualities to overcome 21 different kinds of physical and mental
disease. Therefore 21 different herbs connected with these
different aspects will be planted in separate petal shaped beds
around the central statue of Tara. This statue was consecrated
at 7 o' clock in the morning on the seventh day of the seventh
month of 2007.
The completed garden will be 40 yards in diameter and will be
designed as a twenty one petalled lotus, each petal consisting
of a raised bed built in stone, with broad paths radiating from
the central statue in each of the four directions. Each lotus
petal will be planted with medicinal herbs whose colour
corresponds to the mandala of Green Tara; and the remaining
meadow planted with trees, shrubs and an orchard of native fruit
trees.

Fruit and
Vegetables
The Samye Ling Garden produces organically grown food for the
Centre, the local community and visitors. We try to keep the
garden a pleasant place to work and relax but the plot is based
on maximizing yields and a wide selection of fruit, and
vegetables are grown. The main crop vegetables are potatoes,
leeks, beans and peas, turnips, beetroot, salads, chard and
marrows. Inside the large green house there is an established
grape vine that trails over the arches of the roof and reliably
produces 500 bunches of black desert grapes each year.
Underneath are beds of tomatoes and cucumbers, peppers, garlic
and herbs. There is also a fig tree, a nectarine and an apricot.
In the peach house is a ten year old tree trained along the roof
trusses which produces beautiful blossom and dozens of fruits
each year. This greenhouse also has beds of parsley and basil,
and will eventually lead into the new workshop which is under
construction.
Herbal Produce
For years
the gardens have provided fresh herbs for the kitchen and
medicinal plants for use in traditional preparations. These
include apple mint, peppermint, marjoram, lemon balm, sage,
thyme, vervain, elecampane, valerian, sweet cicely, lavender,
borage, St John's wort, yarrow, comfrey, chives, sorrel,
chamomile and calendula.
Our herbs are hand-picked and dried each summer under the
supervision of qualified herbalists and there is a range of
teas, ointments and lotions available in the shop.
New Developments
New Workshop
Greenhouse
The workshop has been modelled on the old shed and has a simple
eco-design, i.e. green oak post and beam, and reclaimed slate
roof construction. Construction of the external frame is nearing
completion thanks to the hard labour of committed volunteers
donating time and expertise, and to grants from the EU funded
Leader Programme, the Big Lottery Fund, the MacRobert Trust and
private donors.
The Green Tara
Medicinal Herb Garden
The Green Tara Garden for medicinal herbs has been designed by
Dr. Akong Tulku Rinpoche and is located in the meadow towards
the old farm. Viewed from above this will be a 20 petal lotus
flower built in mortared stone with a diameter of some 30 yards.
The magnificent 15 feet high statue of Green Tara at the centre
of the garden has been finished and the first quarter section is
being conditioned to be made into beds for herbs.
Courses
Our courses are lead by Tony Freck, an experienced and
knowledgeable tutor with over twenty years experience in
production horticulture. Courses consist largely of practical
work to give you the hands-on experience of traditional organic
methods, with time to go over the theory, and handouts to take
home.
We offer a variety of courses:
