Can order books on line and if you go to the Arthur Findlay College that is Stansted Hall at any time do not miss this shop, It is in the grounds of the College at the start of the drive. The bookshop has most of the psychic books that are in print at the present. If you cannot get the book you would like I am sure they will pull out the stops and try to find it for you.

I must say that the best psychic bookshops I have found are the two in the Arthur Findlay College, in Stansted Hall. One is in the College itself next to the restaurant, and the other in the Psychic News bookshop across the lawn from the main building. You can buy most titles there, and if they do not have the title you want, they will find it for you. I have found all the customers and all the staff in the shops are very helpful, as they all are in the whole of the College complex.

If you feel you would like to shop around, here are a few other places to try :-

Within the grounds there is a wonderful tranquil garden, which is a place to walk around or sit on the many seats it has dotted around the place. There is a garden of remembrance if you wish to go and sit there to think about people who have progressed beyond the veil, or just be alone and contemplate. At different times of the year the well tended garden has a wonderful array of plants and flowers to greet you as you wander around.

At the beginning of the drive as you turn the first corner there is a coach house and stable building to the left that now has been converted so the the Psychic News weekly newspaper and its separate bookshop can be housed there. The Psychic News and its very well stocked psychic bookshop these are places within the grounds a lot of people forget about while in the College as it is about a hundred yards across the grounds away from the main building. The College/hall itself also has a bookshop.

Psychic World is the independent monthly Spiritualist publication. The first Psychic World was published back in 1946. Founded by Maurice Barbanell, it had a chequered history, finally ceasing publication in 1951. The title was later resurrected in 1993 and published intermittently until September 1994 when the publication was taken over by Ray Taylor former editor of the Two Worlds also Here and There.

Psychic World started republishing with the January issue in 1995 and is now the only independent Spiritualist publication. It has no links to any organisation.

The paper contains a wide variety of topics and writers: Covering news, scientific aspects of Spiritualism, philosophy, views and other subjects. Our writers include editor Ray Taylor BA; Assistant editor Michael Colmer; Book reviews Matthew Hutton; New age Dave Robinson; Also Ray Jones, John Sutton, Billy Roberts, Leslie Price, Stephen O'Brien, Basil Thomas; From the U.S.A.
